King of Morocco Mohammed VI welcomed France’s recognition of the Moroccan Desert as an autonomy under Moroccan sovereign rule.
According to Maghreb Arabe Press on Wednesday, King Mohammed sent a letter to French President Emmanuel Macron, expressing his appreciation for France’s support for Morocco’s sovereign rule over this region, putting an end to a long conflict.
yesterday, Macron sent a letter to King Mohammed, where he announced recognizing the desert as a Moroccan land, as Morocco submitted a request for a sovereign rule over the region in 2007.
