256 students participate in UAEU sustainable development exhibition projects

ALAIN, Zaki Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to the UAE President and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), has ?reviewed the activities of the first sustainable development ?exhibition projects, which the university organised.

The exhibition, which addresses four sustainable ?development related topics, saw the participation of 256 students, including eight students from ?graduate programmes under the supervision of ??56 faculty members.

Nusseibeh was accompanied on the tour ?by Prof. Ghaleb Al Hadrami Al Breiki, Acting Vice-Chancellor; ?Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al Qasim, Acting Provost for Academic ?Affairs; and Prof. Ahmed Murad, Associate Provost for Research, and a number of Deans of colleges and heads of ?departments.? Dr. Murad said that the exhibition is an opportunity for students from various colleges to ?present the results of their scientific research. These ?researches aim to enhance the culture of giving to society by ?solving societal challenges in an innovative ?scientific way, promoting knowledge of the sustainable ?development goals, and presenting joint solutions between students ?and faculty members.

He added, “The first sustainable development ?goals research programme also aims to build students’ research ?skills considering scientific research are future skills for ?the labour market.?
