The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), has announced that 750 students have so far applied for scholarships locally and abroad.
Saleh Al Muftah, Director of Admissions and Registration at the Department of Scholarships at MOEHE, said in a press statement yesterday, that the ministry was seeing an increase in the turnout of scholarship applicants wishing to study international relations, law and international affairs in languages other than English, such as Italian and French.
Muftah pointed out that the ministry has provided students with the opportunity to apply for all scholarship programs locally and abroad through the Student Portal, in addition to the Academic Bridge Program (ABP) and the Amiri Scholarship Program.
Al Muftah added that the implementation of the government scholarship program comes in response to the directives of the wise leadership aimed at enabling Qatari youths in diverse specialties and providing them with jobs, training and development opportunities. The government scholarship program seeks to provide Qataris with specialized skills to meet the needs of the labor market.
