Berlin, -Former Ghana international James Kwesi Appiah has been appointed national team coach for a second time, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said on Tuesday.
Appiah, 57, takes over the Black Stars from May 1 on a two-year contract, dpa cited the GFA’s statement.
He succeeds Israeli coach Avram Grant, who stepped down after the team was eliminated in the semi-finals of the January 14-February 5 Africa Cup of Nations.
Appiah was Ghana coach between 2012 and 2014, leaving in September of that year following the team’s exit in the group stage of the 2014 World Cup.(QNA)
