Dead Sea, The Union of Arab Banks organized in cooperation with Jordan Central Bank (CBJ) and the Palestinian Monetary Authority, the third conference on the Palestinian banking sector that is attended by banking experts from a number of Arab countries.

Participants in the two-day conference will discuss the role of central banks in supporting digital transformation, meeting new regulatory challenges, developments in financial technology and the expected impact on financial stability and systemic risks.

Other topics for discussion will include digital technology and the evolution of financial services; the implications of emerging technology companies on the future of financial technology and traditional institutions; and the role of financial technology as a new mechanism for enhancing financial inclusion and supporting small and medium enterprises.

Governor of the CBJ Ziyad Fariz pointed to the change at the region al and international levels to improve the quality of financial services based on the innovations of financial technology by providing financial and digital banking services that lead to a knowledge-based economy.

He stressed that financial technology is currently playing a major role in the financial and banking sector, noting that it has facilitated the adoption of new business models and the emergence of non-financial companies to provide banking and financial services to clients in key areas of banking and finance work.
