Asian Billiards Championship for Women and Girls Under 17 Opens in Riyadh


Riyadh: The Asian Billiards Championship for Women and Girls under 17, dubbed ‘Riyadh 2024’, started here yesterday and will continue through April 25 at the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation training center.

Seventy players represent Saudi Arabia at the championship in which 12 other countries participate: Bahrain, China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Philippines, Singapore, Taipei, and Vietnam.

President of the International Snooker Federation Mubarak Al-Khayareen, President of the Asian Billiards and Snooker Federation Mohammed Al-Naimi, President of the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation Dr. Nasser Al-Shammari, and presidents and members of the participating countries attended the opening ceremony.

The Asian Billiards and Snooker Federation announced that Vice President of the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation Najla Al-Olayan was selected head of the Women’s Committee of the Asian Federation.
