AviLease and Prince Sultan University Host Inaugural Aviation Academic Day


Riyadh: AviLease, the PIF-owned global aircraft lessor, has hosted its inaugural Aviation Academic Day at Prince Sultan University (PSU) in Riyadh, according to a PIF press release.

The event gave over 200 students valuable insight into the aviation industry and its opportunities through engaging presentations. Topics covered aircraft leasing, finance, and legal aspects, the future of aviation, aviation and tourism, opportunities and challenges for women, and human capital and resources in aviation.

Senior executives from AviLease and PSU, along with industry experts from Boeing, Airbus, Flynas, The Helicopter Company, Riyadh Airports Company, and the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) also shared their expert insight through presentations.

According to the release, AviLease and Prince Sultan University held the Aviation Academic Day as part of their strategic memorandum of understanding to cultivate a skilled national workforce for the Saudi aviation sector.

AviLease fulfills PIF’s mandate to “un
lock the capabilities of priority sectors that can support the diversification of Saudi Arabia’s economy and contribute to non-oil GDP growth”, the release said.

Furthermore, AviLease contributes to the thriving aviation sector and promotes industry financial sustainability, in line with Vision 2030.

The company, the release says, remains committed to fostering local economic opportunities and generating both direct and indirect jobs for Saudis, in the aviation and financial sectors.
