The Azm Alliance revealed the features of passing the draft federal budget law.
The head of the Alliance bloc, MP Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, stated, in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), that “each party will take its entitlement by mutual consent, whether at the level of components or governorates in general, then everyone proceeds with the final vote on the budget.”
He added, “There will be a final consensus between the representatives of the components and the provinces to approve the general budget law,” noting that “the date of the final voting session will be after the blessed Eid al-Fitr holiday by about ten days to two weeks as a maximum.”
The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, announced that the next session will be held this evening, Sunday, and it will be devoted to the second reading of the draft federal budget law.
