US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken confirmed today, Monday, that the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani is an important step to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.
Blinken said in a joint press conference with Planning Minister Muhammad Ali Tamim, ‘The visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani is an important step to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries,’ noting: ‘We are happy to receive the Prime Minister and the Iraqi delegation in Washington.’
He added, “The American investment sector is interested in Iraq,” and we are pleased to see Iraq succeeding in the economic, investment, and energy issues.
For his part, the Minister of Planning said: We hope in today’s meeting to come up with positive decisions.
He added that the Prime Minister’s government is focusing on economic reform and establishing partnerships with countries around the world.
He continued, “We are focusing today on the sectors of agriculture, industry, investment, and en
ergy,” noting that the Iraqi government is working to expand its economic partnerships
The Minister of Planning confirmed that Iraq is working with its partners to stimulate its economy.
