Civil defense teams put out the fire in Al-Jadriya restaurant in Baghdad

The civil defense teams put out the fire of the “Sinara” restaurant, which was built partly from flammable sandwich panels, which violates the safety instructions issued by the Civil Defense Directorate in Abu Nawas Street, Al-Jadriya, in central Baghdad.

The Civil Defense Directorate said in a statement, “The civil defense teams were mobilized on the Baghdad side, Al-Rusafa, and their specialized teams were reinforced with other firefighting teams supporting them on the Baghdad side, Al-Karkh, to expedite control of the fire and to avoid traffic congestion with the hours of the end of official working hours, noting that upon the arrival of the teams, they surrounded the site of the accident with a water barrier to prevent the fire from spreading to a neighboring five-side stadium, with the implementation of direct intrusions, it succeeded in entering and controlling the fire without recording human injuries while limiting the material damage.

The statement added, “As a result, the Civil Defense requested an investigation to be opened at the police station responsible for the geographical area, and to summon a forensic expert to determine the causes of the fire that initially broke out in the restaurant./ End
