All archeological sites in Karak governorate have been closed to tourists, in order to preserve public safety and curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Director of tourism in Karak, Mahmoud Al Soub, said a campaign was conducted to ensure hotels and furnished apartments are free of visitors or tourists, noting that a comprehensive spraying and sterilization campaign is also organized daily in all archaeological sites and squares surrounding the Karak Castle, in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
