A security force thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large amount of medicine to the northeast of Baquba, the center of Diyala Governorate.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “The intelligence effort seized, based on security information, a truck carrying a large shipment of medicines, hidden inside air coolers, at a security checkpoint near Khanaqin, northeast of Baquba.
He added, “The truck was coming from the Kurdistan region and carrying 3 tons of medicines hidden among the refrigerators,” indicating that the driver was arrested and detained in a security center to complete the investigation with him.
