Amman, Minister of Culture Bassem Al-Tuwaisi on Saturday discussed with Canadian Ambassador in Amman Donica Pottie ways to expand cooperation between Jordan and Canada, particularly in the cultural domain.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Culture, the minister highlighted projects implemented by the ministry, which link culture to social, life and technical transformations.
Al-Tuwaisi emphasized that Jordan is looking forward to opening the door for cultural exchange with Canada with the aim of leveraging culture as a common ground for dialogue and understanding.
The two officials discussed a number of priorities, projects and ideas that the ministry is working on, including the Jerash Festival, integrating youth into the cultural and creative movement, strengthening national cultural industries, and benefiting from Canadian experience in this field.
