DEWA & CDA organise Ramadan activities for Family Village

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised Ramadan activities for members of the Family Village, in collaboration with Community Development Authority in Dubai (CDA). Family Village is an initiative launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The activities included a Ramadan Suhoor for orphans, supervisors, and volunteers. There were also gift vouchers distributed during the workshops on the conservation of electricity and water, protecting natural resources and adopting a sustainable lifestyle.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, said that DEWA is guided by the noble values of the Founding Fathers, instilled in Emirati society, as well as the words of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who said, ‘All orphan children are our sons and daughters, and caring for them is part of our religious, moral and governmental duties.’ Al Tayer noted that Ramadan is an opportunity to meet and support the pillars of the harmonious Emirati society, which is founded on mercy, respect, and solidarity as well as ensuring a decent life for all. This also achieves the principles of Islam.

Al Tayer praised the efforts of the Family Village team, highlighting their positive role in improving the conditions of the underprivileged families, providing a happy and motivating work environment as well as a cohesive family environment where life, tolerance, and strength prevail.
