Doha, - The Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA) will host on 16th of April 2017 the 'Qatar International Week To Resolve Disputes by Alternative Means' brining together a number of leading international arbitrators and experts.
The aim of this five-day international event, which comes within the framework of the QICCA's efforts to spread the culture of arbitration among the business community in Qatar, is to familiarize arbitrators with best arbitral practices and international arbitration standards.
QICCA board member, HE Sheikh Thani bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani, expressed his pride in hosting this international event, which attracts international judges and leading legal figures under this platform which will be hosted by Qatar Chamber to discuss best practices in international arbitration.
The participation of elite panel of the most prominent arbitrators in this event is a new achievement for the State of Qatar in hosting important events, especially as the forum comes following the enactment of a new Civil and Commercial Arbitration Law, he said, adding that the event is seen as one of the most important conferences, seminars and courses organized and hosted by QICCA.
QICCA's hosting of the 'Qatar International Week To Resolve Disputes by Alternative Means' comes after the organization of the Second International Arbitration Conference, which confirms the role played by QICCA at the national and international levels, he added.
The event will feature a number of key themes including a presentation on "The Skills of Pleading before International Arbitrators;" "International Commercial Mediation;" "International Arbitration" along with a number of sessions on the main features of international financial law and the Qatari financial structure in terms of domestic legislation and Qatar Financial Center (QFC)'s system.
