Doha, – The second GCC Nursing Conference 2017 kicked off Sunday in Doha.
The theme for this conference, which is taking place over the next two days in Sheraton Hotel, is The Evolution of Technology and its Impact on Humane Nursing Care. It reviews the latest technological breakthroughs in the field and will host a number of talks outlining the role technology will play in the future of the field.
The conference will cover a number of topics such as the advances in best practices and address the everyday challenges of using nursing technology to improve patient outcomes. Another topic is how technology will change the way nursing care is provided.
HE Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari spoke to the press and said that the conference will discuss many of the technical details of the profession, as well as the impact of technology on nursing care. Her Excellency added that there was a unified strategy for investing in nursing and encouraging GCC citizens to join the field. HE the Minister highlighted the role nursing plays in healthcare, with 80% of the sectors workers coming from that field.
Her Excellency said that today’s conference was a platform for exchanging ideas in the field between the State of Qatar and other GCC members in terms of undertaking strategies for developing the field and supplying it with the technology it needs to improve its services. (QNA)
