Dudin discusses media cooperation with UAE, Bahrain

Minister of State for Media Affairs and government spokesperson, Sakher Dudin discussed on Sunday in Sharjah with Chair of UAE Government Media Office Saeed Al Eter, aspects of joint Jordan-UAE media cooperation.

The meeting, which is held on the sidelines of the 10th session of the International Forum for Government Communication 2021, the two officials exchanged ideas and discussed ways to benefit from the two countries’ “advanced” media and communication expertise.

Dudin and Al Eter also discussed mechanisms to “best” use modern technologies and social media to serve public issues, by promoting “objective” content that contributes to combating rumors and misinformation.

In a separate meeting at the forum’s headquarters, Dudin met with Bahraini Minister of Information Affairs, Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, where the two sides discussed aspects of bilateral media cooperation and expertise exchange in the media field.

The discussions also went over on the importance of disseminating the concepts of media and information literacy and the need to benefit from the expertise in this context, to curb rumors and avoid professional and ethical irregularities related to information and news published through modern social platforms.

During the meeting, Dudin and Al Rumaihi stressed the importance of continuing coordination to develop initiatives and projects that serve public issues and enhance joint cooperation in the media and communication fields.
