Doha, El Jaish are approaching a new challenge when they take on Uzbek side Bunyodkor in Tuesday’s vital AFC Champions League play-off clash, head coach Sabri Lamouchi said today in his pre-match press conference.

The French tactician said AFC Champions League matches are completely different from other competitions, adding that his side will have a difficult task when they face their opponents at Lekhwiya Club’s Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.

Lamouchi said El Jaish have the home soil advantage in the play-off tie and will do their best to win and reach the group stage.

On the other hand, Bunyodkor manager Sergey Lushan said El Jaish have great players and were a surprise package last season when they reached the semifinal of the competition.

Lushan said his team are ready for the tie after playing 12 friendlies in a camp in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, adding that both teams have equal chances of reaching the group stage.
