ABU DHABI, H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, stated that the Emirati woman has proven to the world she is an icon for generous giving, which reflects the country’s wise leadership’s investment in women’s potential as a mother, wife, sister, partner in the development journey, the pulsing heart of the nation, and a source of positive citizenship.
Speaking on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, which is celebrated on 28th August, Sheikh Humaid said the development of the nation’s capabilities, particularly those of women, is the fruit of a forward-looking nation and a recognition of women and men participating side by side in the ongoing national development.
Sheikh Humaid expressed his thanks and appreciation to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), and the “Mother of the Nation”, for supporting Emirati women through the years at all levels.

“The UAE is today living through a new age of science, technology and health and other new developments and no doubt, women must take responsibilities in these new advanced and development sectors. We stress the need for investment in women’s capabilities, culture and experiences in leading sectors such as space, health sciences and technology and innovation,” he added.
