Emirati women an integral part of UAE successes: DoH Chairman

ABU DHABI, Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Hamed, Chairman of Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), said that Emirati Women’s Day is a message of appreciation to every Emirati woman who has contributed and continue to contribute to the achievements of the UAE and the shaping of its bright future.

In his statement on Emirati Women’s Day, which is celebrated on 28th August of each year, Al Hamed noted that Emirati women continue to follow on the footsteps of the Founding Father, the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, praising their determination to showcase their excellence across all fields, supported by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), who spares no effort in empowering and enabling women to be in leading positions on a regional and global scale.

Al Hamed affirmed that Emirati women have always been a key pillar of the UAE’s healthcare sector as it became one of the leading healthcare systems in the world. “Today, Emirati women represent the healthcare sector as doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals and administrators.”

The DoH Chairman expressed his pride in all Emirati women and praised their important role in society, their achievements and their ability to contribute to the success of the UAE. “Emirati women have always been an integral part of all the successes we witnessed in the country and a model of giving and dedication, as we continue to formulate the ambitions of the UAE’s wise leadership for the next fifty years,” he concluded.
