Emirati women are active partner in advancing country’s development journey: Mohammed Al Olama

DUBAI, Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), said that over the past five decades, Emirati women have made extraordinary achievements in all walks of social, economic, cultural, and scientific life, making them an active and indispensable partner in the country’s development journey.

On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, Al Olama said, “The UAE’s celebration of Emirati Women’s Day this year is undoubtedly exceptional as it coincides with the country making its way towards the next 50 years, seeking to become the best in the world by reaching further milestones with the help of Emirati women who effectively proved themselves to shoulder the responsibility of leading the country towards further excellence and development.”

“Thanks to their accomplishments in all national, regional, and global arenas, Emirati women have today gained international recognition as role models. We, at the Ministry of Health, truly believe in women’s vital role in advancing societies. They have incredibly proven themselves in the healthcare sector and were behind the most wonderful success stories after engaging in the first line of defence fighting the COVID-19 pandemic,” Al Olama added.

He concluded his remarks by saying that since the founding of the Union, the UAE’s leadership has believed in the latent and creative power of women and has made every effort to empower them and strengthen their vital role in advancing the country’s development journey towards greater heights of excellence, and this is probably what sets the UAE apart.
