DUBAI, Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, has emphasised that Emirati women have exceptionally proved themselves in all fields and made remarkable milestones that turned them into true role models both locally and internationally.
“Their achievements would not have been possible without the wise leadership’s unlimited support and its keenness to harness the country’s resources to empower women in all areas, especially in the parliamentary field, where they excelled and have become an effective partner in the UAE’s decision-making process,” the minister commented on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day.
Al Owais added, “Celebrating this occasion all across the country highlights the utmost importance the UAE attaches to women’s empowerment and reaffirms the leadership’s commitment to promoting their active role in achieving sustainable development. Over the past 50 years, Emirati women have been seen enthusiastically backing the country’s renaissance, thanks to which they are today a global role model.”
“We are truly proud to see Emirati women playing a fundamental role in advancing the country’s civilised and developmental journey. This year’s occasion is exceptionally different as it falls at a critical juncture in the nation’s history, as it boldly embarks on the next fifty years of its life. We look forward to greater contributions by women in all walks of life”.
The minister stressed that the wise vision and directives of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, have been a guiding light toward enhancing women’s status and enabling them to bring about outstanding successes in all fields, now that they are engaged in the decision-making process and are well-positioned to assume responsibilities.
“We, at the Ministry of Health and Prevention, are committed to providing female cadres with a supportive environment to help them prove themselves in various health sectors and contribute effectively to the country’s growth journey as well as shaping its future. We are indeed very proud of all women working in the health sector,” Al Owais concluded.
