The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, yesterday distributed food aid to the resident of Zaghfa in Ash Shihr District, Hadramaut Governorate, Yemen.
The aid coincides with the visit of a delegation from the General Union of Arab Experts from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Morocco, led by Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarawan, Chairman of the Federation in Zaghfa area, as part of a tour of Hadramaut.
The ERC team distributed 350 food parcels to 1,750 individuals from poor and underprivileged families, as well as 200 school bags to students from the Zaghfa Elementary School in Ash Shihr District.

The school's director welcomed the ERC and the delegation and praised the role of the UAE and its humanitarian arm, the ERC, in supporting Hadramaut Governorate and the residents of Ash Shihr, as well as in launching many economic and humanitarian programmes in the education, health, electricity and roads sectors.
