The EU Saturday inveighed against the bombing of a mosque in Qandahar, Afghanistan, that took place during the Friday prayer yesterday and killed and wounded scores.

The Adnkronos International (AKI) reported the EU lead spokesperson for foreign affairs and security policy Peter Stano said: "Those who committed the outrageous crime, which was claimed by the so-called 'ISIS-Khorasan', should be brought to justice."

The ISIS-Khorsan immediately claimed responsibility for the attack that claimed the lives and injured more than 100, according to the UN Delegation in Afghanistan.

The attack is the most violent since the US pullout of the country in late August.
