Today, an expanded meeting chaired by Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Hassan Al-Amir discussed aspects related to the development of the tourism sector.
In the meeting, which was attended by the sectors’ agents, general managers and the relevant departments of the ministry, the Minister of Tourism stressed interest in developing the tourism investment sector, given its role in bringing about real tourism development.
He pointed out that tourism investments are among the most important factors for improving the quality of services, raising the level of efficiency and competition, and developing domestic and foreign tourism.
The Minister of Tourism pointed out the importance of integration between the various agencies to develop tourism investments, as a joint complementary process to strengthen the structure of the tourism sector. He pointed to the importance of the role of tourism media in keeping pace with plans, programs and activities related to the sector, especially with regard to developing investments and advancing the tourism sector, and its damaged infrastructure largely as a result of aggression.
The meeting reviewed a number of reports on the results of the Minister of Tourism’s visit to Taiz Governorate, the performance of the tourism facilities services sector, the committees for the inventory and evaluation of tourism facilities in the capital’s secretariat, the work of the tourism development sector, the available investment opportunities, and aspects of awareness and media.
He also discussed the efforts exerted to develop the institutional structure of the Ministry, the laws and regulations governing tourism work, and the restoration of the Ministry’s building, in a way that contributes to developing the performance of workers and improving the quality of tourism services.
