Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and his French counterpart, Jean-Yves Le Drian, Wednesday, underscored, over the phone, the necessity of de-escalation and ending tension in the Gulf Region.
The two ministers emphasized the importance of exerting more effort to settle the crisis with diplomacy and sidestep ramifications of yet another crisis in the region that would threaten, if exacerbated, regional and international stability and security.
Safadi and Le Drian underlined the importance of upholding Iraq's stability and security and safeguarding Baghdad's trajectory of rebuilding the country.
Also, the top diplomats touched on the importance of international coalition against Daesh, and efforts exerted to prevent the terrorist group from rebuilding its forces.
They agreed on bolstering cooperation and coordination in their effort aimed at overcoming and withstanding regional crises and achieving stability.
