Munich, - Bayern Munich won yet another league title on Saturday after dispatching Wolfsburg with a 6-0 win.
The Bavarian side needed to win to ensure they won their fifth league title in as many years. This was mainly a result of RB Leipzig's 0-0 draw with Ingolstadt earlier on Saturday. Munich made sure there were no surprises and scored via David Alaba in the 20th minute. Then Two goals from Robert Lewandowski had them 3-0 up at the break. Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben, and Joshua Kimmich added the remaining goals to gift Munich the title.
Bayern collected 73 points this season in the league, 10 more than Liepzig which is a big enough gap to confirm winning the league. The win came just weeks after the disappointment of going out in the quarter-final of the Champions League against Real Madrid, in a match marred by bad refereeing decisions. (QNA)
