Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met here today with HE US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, during his current official visit to the United States.
Discussions during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and means of boosting and developing them in various fields, in addition to the latest developments in the region, especially in Syria, Lebanon, and the repercussions of the humanitarian situation in Yemen and Myanmar.
HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs briefed his US counterpart on the latest developments of the Gulf crisis and Kuwaiti mediation efforts. He expressed Qatar's commitment to pushing for dialogue to resolve the crisis as soon as possible.
HE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister also stressed the need to reduce the escalation in the region, noting that the region would not bear more crises.
