FOREIGN MINISTRY ASKS LEBANON’S PERMANENT MISSION TO LODGE COMPLAINT AGAINST ISRAEL

Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants on Tuesday tasked Lebanon’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York to lodge a complaint to the UN Secretary-General against Israel’s consecration of its full occupation and the completion of the annexation of the northern Lebanese part of the town of Ghajar, which extends beyond the outskirts of the town of Mari, and which constitutes a flagrant and dangerous breach. The complaint is also against the daily and continuous Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty and resolution 1701 (2006). Lebanon’s MoFA demanded an immediate condemnation against this deliberate breach of Lebanese sovereignty, and the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Israeli forces from all the occupied Lebanese territories.
