The Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip on Monday announced that 2 new coronavirus deaths and 1,354 cases were recorded over the last 24 hours, marking a tangible rise in pandemic infections.
In its daily epidemiological report, the ministry said that 4,455 lab tests were conducted in the coastal enclave, adding that 222 additional cases have recovered, raising the total number of recoveries to 117,132 .
“The total caseload reached 129,111, including 10,842 active cases and 1,137 deaths,” the ministry added.
The report also said some 245 cases needed hospitalization and 152 were serious or critical.
