GCC Condemns Two Explosions in Pakistan

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the two explosions that took place in Pakistan and left over 50 people killed and dozens others injured.

In a statement on Friday, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi reiterated the Council’s firm position of rejecting all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism, which aim to destabilize security and stability and contradict humanitarian values and principles.

In a related context, the United Nations also condemned the two bombings.

“We very much condemn the terrorist attacks that took place in Pakistan, killing more than 50 people. The people responsible need to be held to account,” said Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN chief, when asked for Guterres’ reaction to the attacks
