GCC Secretary-General Hails Saudi Arabia’s Pivotal Role in Success of Arab Summit

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi hailed the success of the 32nd Arab Summit, citing the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab League.

In a statement Friday, Albudaiwi noted that the pivotal roles the Kingdom and the Arab League played in the success of the Arab Summit and its positive outcomes for the Arab countries.

The GCC Secretary-General also thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince for their efforts and full support for harnessing all necessary facilitations to host the summit.

He also said that the gathering of Arab countries amid critical circumstances to discuss important issues and mechanisms to bolster regional cooperation reflects their keenness on enhancing solidarity and joint action to address challenges and difficulties.

Albudaiwi added that the Arab summit is an essential platform for consultation and cooperation among Arab countries and an opportunity to discuss issues of mutual concern among member states, explaining that the success of the summit enhances the Arab world’s ability to address future challenges and achieve sustainable development and prosperity for the Arab people.
