General Directorate of Passports Extends Residency Duration for Sudanese Holding Umrah Visas in Kingdom, Launches Services to Host them through Absher

In the implementation of directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian efforts towards the brotherly Sudanese people, the General Directorate of Passports has commenced extending the duration of Umrah visas for Sudanese Umrah performers in the Kingdom who cannot return to their country due to the current crisis, and launched the “Hosting Sudanese Umrah Performers” service on the e-portal of the Ministry of Interior to allow citizens and residents in the Kingdom to host them.

Hosting Umrah performers allows their relatives or acquaintances residing in the Kingdom and citizens to change the Umrah visa into a visitor’s visa (family or personal) according to the conditions stated in the Absher platform, with the option of amending the name of the host in the registry and exempting them from the financial fees for the first time for the visa holders who are currently unable to leave the Kingdom.

The directorate indicated that those wishing to benefit from the service should access the website of the platform “Absher individuals” https: //www.absher.sa then select my services – passports – continue – select the section (visit visa) – choose the service (request to host Sudanese Umrah performers) and attach a copy of the expatriate passport and a copy of the visit visa, to submit the application from the hosting account and to write a brief explanation of the reason for the application in the “Description of the application” section.
