Google announced today that they are hiking the price of YouTube Premium for new and existing members.
Google raised last year the subscription for the family plan from $17.99 a month to $22.99 for subscribers in the US. Students get a discount if they can present proof that they are indeed students.
The new price increase will come in effect starting next month. YouTube Premium allows customers to view videos without ads, and download videos for offline viewing.
