Government of Kazakhstan reassures international community on guaranteeing protection of rights of foreigners, investments

NUR-SULTAN, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has affirmed the country’s international commitments towards foreigners, businesses, diplomatic missions and media people living in the Central Asian nation.

In a statement today, the Ministry accused what it branded as “terrorist groups trained outside of the country” of triggering chaos in the country, noting that the Kazakh government will continue to guarantee the rights and interests of all ethnic groups and to forge ahead with the reforms carried out by the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The statement added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in constant communication with the nation’s international partners on the current situation to ensure bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

According to the statement, President Tokayev assumed the leadership of the Kazakh Security Council and requested the members of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation to provide his country with military aid.
