His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received the visiting German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas at Al Shati' Palace in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed German Foreign Minister and discussed with him bilateral relations between the UAE and Germany.
They also discussed ways to enhance relations and strategic cooperation between the two sides in light of the distinguished ties and joint interests in the economic, investment, cultural, educational and social domains as well as joint cooperation in a number of regional and international issues.
They also exchanged views on the latest regional developments and their repercussions on the security and stability of the region as well as issues of mutual concerns.
The leaders also emphasised the two countries' desire to further enhance relations and joint cooperation as well as diversify the promising opportunities to achieve the aspirations of the two friendly peoples.
Sheikh Mohamed and Maas drew attention to the importance of achieving security, stability, peace and development for the peoples and countries of the region.
Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, EAA; and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, also attended the meeting.
