ICRC humanitarian interventions in Hodeida discussed

The First Undersecretary of Hodeida Province, Ahmed Al-Bishri, discussed on Tuesday with the head of the sub-delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Ashot Aspatsian, and his accompanying delegation the ICRC’s humanitarian and service interventions and ways to strengthen them in the province.

During the meeting, Al-Bishri reviewed aspects of the needs of the service sectors in the province in the areas of health, water, and electricity, addressing the damage left by the aggression in the infrastructure of projects, and removing the remnants of the aggression, including mines, cluster bombs, and others.

He indicated that the province of Hodeida needs more support to enhance the continuity of the services supported by the ICRC, expressing his hope to expand the delegation’s interventions in the future to include many service sectors.

For their part, Aspatsian and his deputy, David Mont, praised the level of coordination and cooperation between the ICRC delegation and the concerned authorities in the province.
