Industry minister, Egyptian counterpart discuss mechanisms to enhance economic cooperation

Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, and her Egyptian counterpart, Nevin Jameh, stressed the importance of continued action to achieve outcomes of the tripartite summits, which brought together His Majesty King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, aimed to strengthening the joint economic relations.

Speaking at their meeting in Amman, the two ministers also stressed the need to remove any obstacles facing joint trade, as Ali asked her Egyptian counterpart to overcome difficulties that face some Jordanian companies’ exports to the Egyptian market, in implementation of outcomes of Higher Jordanian-Egyptian Committee’s meetings in its last session.

The two ministers called on the two countries’ private sector to “best” benefit from the opportunities available due to the joint economic cooperation.

Later, the duo inaugurated activities of the 14th session of the Egyptian Products Exhibition, which is held in Amman’s Mecca Mall and will run until October 2, that embodies common desire to deepen bilateral relations in all cooperation areas, to serve mutual interests, according to a ministry statement.
