INTAJ, DCO discuss ways to develop Jordan’s information technology sector

The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (INTAJ), on Sunday discussed with President of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), Deemah Alyahya, ways to develop the Kingdom’s telecom and information technology sector and the rising digitization rate in all sectors.

In a press statement, INTAJ head, Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh, highlighted the association’s role and efforts in supporting the digital future in member countries, in addition to its endeavors to empower women, youth and entrepreneurs, and develop the digital economy through innovation-based development plans.

Alyahya, for her part, praised INTAJ’s role in promoting the sector’s programs locally and abroad, lauding the private sector’s efforts to advance digital economy.

Established in November 2020, the DCO is an initiative that brings under its umbrella Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Pakistan and Nigeria and seeks to share interests and ambitions regarding the digital economy.
