The prices of oil derivatives in global markets have risen in the first week of May, according to data released on Monday by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The ministry’s figures showed that the price of 90-octane gasoline went up by 5.1 percent, going from $607.4 per ton in April to $638.3, while the price of 95-octane gasoline rose from $630.5 per ton to $659.2, an increase of 4.6 percent.
Diesel prices also increased by 5.9 percent going from $509.6 per ton to $539.4, while the prices of kerosene rose by 7.2 percent, from $528 to $566.1 per ton.
The prices of liquefied gas for May dropped by 10.7 per cent, going from $537.5 to $480 per ton.
Benchmark Brent crude prices rose in the first week of the current month, from $64.6 to $69.4 per barrel.
