IOF Arrests 12 Palestinians in West Bank, Including Children, Freed Prisoners

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested at least twelve Palestinians during the past 24 hours in the occupied West Bank, including children, as well as freed prisoners.

In a joint statement, Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said that the arrests took place in Ramallah, Al-Khalil (Hebron), Jenin, Nablus, Tubas and Qalqiliya.

The IOF carried out massive raids on money exchange shops in all governorates.

The number of arrests in the West Bank has risen to 8,755 cases since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, the statement added, noting that the arrests include those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, as well as those who were forced to surrender under pressure, and those who were held hostage.

Data related to arrest cases includes those who were kept in detention by the occupation and those who were later released.

The IOF continues to implement systematic arrest campaigns, as
one of the most prominent established policies, which escalated in an unprecedented manner after Oct. 7, 2023, not only in terms of the level of the number of detainees, but also in terms of the level of crimes committed.
