Iran: The Door For Dialogue On The Nuclear Agreement Is Still Open

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Today, Monday, that : “Tehran has not turned away from diplomatic ways regarding the nuclear agreement,” stressing: “The door for dialogue is still open.”

“An agreement can be reached soon regarding the nuclear agreement, but the United States must show its will and determination in this field,” ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said in a press conference.

The spokesman also stressed the need for the US government to refrain from taking any step that destabilizes security in the region.

He warned that “interference in the affairs of the region is not constructive and raises tension,” noting that his country is following steps and movements in the region with “great sensitivity.”

Kanani’s comments came after CBS quoted US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan as saying, on Sunday, that his country is not close to any agreement regarding the Iranian nuclear program.

Sullivan also said Washington had not yet reached an agreement with Iran for the release of four Americans being held in Tehran.

It should be mentioned that last month, the US State Department completely denied reaching an interim nuclear agreement with Iran.
