Ramallah, The Israeli Cabinet is expected to approved a decision to deduct part of Palestinian tax revenues transferred by Israel to the Palestinian Authority (PA), Israel Hayom daily newspaper reported on Monday.

The Israeli government will also approve a significant cut of the tax funds in the coming two weeks, in response to the PA’s continued payments to Palestinian prisoners and martyrs, the daily said.

In recent weeks, Israel has been working on data collection to find out the exact amounts the PA is paying to families of martyrs and detainees. The process is scheduled to be completed within two weeks before the occupation authorities officially announce the deduction.
