Ramallah, Israeli occupation forces early Wednesday demolished a number of Palestinian residential and commercial facilities in the Wadi Yasul neighborhood in Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center said in a statement that the occupation troops, escorted by bulldozers and municipal staff, stormed the neighborhood in the morning and began demolishing commercial stores and residential facilities belonging to a Palestinian, who was identified as Ezz Burqan.
The Israeli Supreme Court on Sunday rejected the "appeal" of a Palestinian citizen in the Wadi Yasul neighborhood against a decision to demolish four residential houses, several commercial structures and horse stables.
About 84 Palestinian homes are under threat of demolition and dozens of families are in danger of displacement after the Supreme Court rejected the appeal, the statement added.
