Under His Majesty King Abdullah II’s directives, Royal Hashemite Court (RHC) Chief, Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal Initiatives, on Sunday held five separate meetings with dignitaries and representatives of the local community from southern Karak governorate.
Today’s meetings aimed to follow up on the governorate’s demands, which were expressed during the King’s visit to Karak city on September 5, and seek to improve the citizens’ living conditions and implement more development and employment initiatives, to provide job opportunities and reduce poverty.
Royal initiatives are implemented according to a “comprehensive” plan and “specific” timetables, in cooperation and coordination with relevant government departments and civil society institutions, to provide quality services to citizens in various sectors, in accordance with the “highest” quality standards, per the court’s website.
During the meetings, which were held at the Royal Hashemite Court, Issawi said His Majesty, during his visit to Karak governorate, stressed the need to outreach to citizens and pay attention to their proposals, which would contribute to meeting their needs and providing quality services to them, in terms of implementing development initiatives aimed to provide job opportunities and improve living conditions.
The RHC will work in coordination with the government, the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army (JAF), the Public Security Directorate (PSD) and other concerned authorities to study all citizens’ demands and proposals, in a bid to carry out priority initiatives that affect the governorate people’s basic needs, according to Issawi.
Issawi added that the RHC will study plans to carry out productive and employment initiatives that provide job opportunities for the governorate, in coordination and cooperation with the concerned government agencies.
Many Royal initiatives have been implemented in many vital sectors in the governorate, he said, pointing out that other programs will focus on income-generating productive projects in the future, which would contribute to improving the target groups’ living conditions, especially supporting youth, empowering women and developing the local community, as well as projects that serve the region’s military retirees.
