Japan Again Condemns N.Korea’s Missile and Nuclear Development Program

Japan again condemned North Korea’s missile and nuclear development program after Pyongyang said it would make a second attempt to launch a military satellite.

North Korea’s first attempt on May 31 failed.

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno Hirokazu told reporters such a move by North Korea can never be tolerated as it threatens the peace and security of Japan and the international community, according to Japan’s NHK World radio.

Matsuno said Japan will continue to do all it can to collect and analyze necessary information, and monitor the situation.

Pyongyang announced that the Chollima-1 missile carrying a military reconnaissance satellite “Malligyong-1” crashed into the Yellow Sea and reaffirmed its pledge to put it into orbit soon.
