Three talented students from Jeddah won medals at the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX), which ended yesterday in Malaysia.
Yumn Zamil Al-Otaibi won the gold medal and a special award for her project “Early Detection of Forest Fires Using CubeSat Technology”, Rad Saleh Al-Qahtani won the silver medal and a special award from the World Intellectual Property Association (WIPA) for her project “Integration of Nanotechnology and Personalised Medicine to Develop 3D-printed Chewable PeNTaDEX Tablets for the Treatment of Children with Leukaemia”, and Raf Saleh Al-Qahtani won the silver medal in the field of health and medical technologies for her project “Tween20-Based Synthesis of Mesoporous Silica Nanoparticles (MSNs) Loaded with Curcumin and Vitamin D as a Potential Treatment for Parkinson’s Disease
