Ramallah, Dozens of Jewish extremist settlers on Wednesday stormed an archaeological site in the historical town of Sebastia north of the West Bank city of Nablus.

Mayor of Sebastia Mohammad Azem said in a statement that the radical settlers raided the ancient site under heavy protection of Israeli army.

The archaeological site has been subjected to repeated violations and incursions by Israeli soldiers and extremist settlers, the mayor added .
