Jordan condemns terrorist attack in Kirkuk

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Sunday condemned a terrorist attack that targeted a security checkpoint in Kirkuk in northern Iraq last night, killing and injuring a number of Iraqi policemen.

In a statement, the ministry’s spokesman, Haitham Abu al-Foul, stressed the Kingdom’s denunciation of all terrorist acts, and underlined Jordan’s solidarity with Iraq in the face of threats to its security and stability.

He extended Jordan’s heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Iraq and the families of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
