Amman, - Jordanian Prime Minster Hani Mulki conferred on Thursday with visiting Iraqi Minister of Transport Kazim Hamami.
During the meeting, Mulki expressed keenness to further boost bilateral cooperation in various domains, welcoming the establishment of joint ventures with Iraq to serve the interests of the two countries, mainly in the transport field.
The Iraqi minister briefed Mulki on the decision of the Iraqi Prime Minister to form a committee to take all necessary procedures to accelerate opening the land route between the two countries, said Jordanian Petra news agency.
Discussions between the two officials tackled means of increasing the Iraqi benefits from the Aqaba port and make it the main trade route between the two countries.
